MoparManuals has an incredible selection of high-quality 1914-1989 factory service manuals and parts books on CD-ROM, including a clever front end to help you find what you need. You can get 10% off if you use coupon code 255727. (That will also provide us with a little revenue for server maintenance.)They take all major credit cards, and are authorized by Chrysler.
There really is no substitute for the factory service manuals, so whether you get them from the link above or from Dyment Distribution, they are worth it. You can also get a generally-accurate, up to date version through Alldata DIY which may be more palatable if your budget is low.
Other manuals and guides
Repair guides for specific models
So far, we have books for the Barracuda, Caravan, Challenger, Colt, Concorde, Conquest, Dart, Daytona, Duster, Grand Cherokee, Horizon, Intrepid, Laser, LHS, Neon, New Yorker, Omni, Ram truck, Rampage, Shadow, Sundance, Town & Country, Valiant, Vision, Vista, and Voyager.
Note that we still recommend getting the factory service manual wherever possible. (See the note at the beginning of this page for a good source of factory manuals!) Where that's not possible, try Alldata DIY.
We have been prejudiced against the Chilton's since a terrible Valiant manual and a great Hayne's Rabbit manual, but things have apparently changed; Hayne's had a lot of respect for the Rabbit and seems to have less for Chrysler vehicles, and as Scott Rathman said, “the Haynes manual I bought for my 87 Dodge Daytona was ... basically a 84-86 Daytona book with two pages of updates in the back. Although the Chilton's I ended up getting was an "all" Chrysler FWD book, I found all of the information I needed including the electrical diagnostics of individual sensors and systems (Haynes said simply "take it to a mechanic")...Haynes might have actually torn the car apart, but Chilton's seems to know how to actually test things."
It does seem as though both Hayne's and Chilton's tend to oversimplify and rely on standard boilerplate. For this reason, we've taken out our past listings for these manuals. If you really want one, you can get one at Amazon.com (there are lots of cheap used ones), just be careful!
