The Jeep 75th Salute concept vehicle was shown last week as a tribute to the modern Wrangler’s military heritage. Based on a two-door Wrangler Sport, it has no B-pillars or doors, and wears Army olive-drab.
The 16 inch steel wheels have 32-inch military tires. It has MA-like steel front and rear bumpers with tow hooks, and low back canvas seats. It also has wood hood blocks, custom mirrors, and bronze fender badges. It is, as one would hope, a manual-transmission model.
All Wranglers have hood latches and a rear door mounted spare tire, but the Salute’s latches and spare have been tweaked to better emulate the Willys MA and MB of World War II vintage.
