If you were a registered user, you would not be seeing this!

Hey all,

Anyone find a good paint that I can apply to the ground effect
skirt on the front of my 1989 Dodge Daytona ES?

I've damaged the tip (scrapped the paint) several times not
cracked but scratchhed down to the base yellow.

I've seen this 'bumper' paint but its dark silver...

Regular paint flakes.

Any help would be appreciated.

THANX

Chet

It depends on what you wish to do.

You can give the dealer the vin and he can get you some correct touchup paint. They may also have it in aerolsol cans.

Or you can have a shop repaint it. They will use the correct color and put flex agent in the paint. They will use base clear system.

How bad is the damage???

Dont use nonmatching bumper paint, your car looks too nice for a hack job.

That is not even noticeable, I'd say maybe a light wet sand and paint with close matching, its so small I don't think anyone is going to get on their knees to notice.

Yeah, but HE would know!

On an off topic note, both my Daytona and Mustang GT are titled in Mississippi and I've always been glad that Mississippi only has the rear plate as no car looks good with a front plate plastered on it's nose. Just my $0.02.
