Have looked at three so far here in the Tampa Bay area. Best price was $10,900 for a clean Touring Cruiser. 19,000 miles. How many miles estimate before mechanical probems on these. Am recently handicapped so need automatic w/easy access. Put wheelchair if need.
Had some negatives about ( PT being discontinued next year, need for repairs soon and availablilty of parts) pesonally I like them. 2007 Blue is pretty nice color too. Looking for opinions please.

2009 is more than likely the last year, but that shouldn't really be a negative. Parts are not an issue.

I recently turned 30,000 miles on my '05 Touring and other than new rotors (they had warped which is pretty common) I haven't had any issues.

My wife has a 2004 Limited with 42k and we've had both front hubs replaced on it; extended warranty covered that. It's been quite reliable outside of that as well.

Mine is a 2003 which I bought used from the original dealership which sold it the first time to a older couple new. I got it with 60k miles and now it has 79k (almost 19 k in little over a year, mainly interstate mileage) on it, with no probs at all. Havent had to take it in for anything except for the scheduled oil changes and tire rotations.

Long as you maintain the PT well, and not drive like a mad man, it will run great with just standard maintanence just like any other car.
