If you were a registered user, you would not be seeing this!

A couple years ago when my friends glorious 85 Lancer died after 200+k miles of service and abuse. He was parting it out and I have had a 1940 Ford Project (with a dodge magnum 360, the ultimate sleeper) going a while and needed a steering column. The Lancer was the first steering column I had been able to find that was short enough for my application so I snatched it up. Now I'm in the wiring stage and have run into an problem. All the wiring diagrams in my manual for K cars (it covers every car so you can imagine its not the most in depth) don't include the circuits I need for wiring the car. I have everything I need for the ignition switch but I don't have anything for the wind shield wiper circuits or dimmer switch or turn signals. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good manual for an 85 Lancer Es with the Turbo or diagrams and could either tell me where to find them or something to help. I would just like to know color coding so that I can translate that to the colors on my wiring harness and wire the beast so I can have it running. I'm trying to trial and error my way through the circuits right now but you can imagine that is a bit tedious. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Can I ask why on a street rod you would use a harness off the Lancer? I would think it would be easier just to make up your own harness for the limited number of circuts you would have on that application than using a harness that has more wires in it than you are going to need.

Edit: okay after reading your post through again I think I understand. Even the haines manual for the Lancer should have accuate color codes for the wires coming off the stearing column.
