What? Lets see here, the Ram loses 100lbs of torque? The HP looks real good though.

Could it have something to do with the RAMs 20 wheels. I always see them test the RAMs in the 20w and the truck is being compared 2 is sporting 17s. Less rotating mass = more to the ground.Its always made out with ram this way for some reason .....

It's typically the vehicle that's supplied from the manufacturer. I would also say that the 20's would affect 0-60 time, not HP/Torque numbers being put down to the rear wheels on a dyno.

Well, 307 lbs/ft to the wheels indicate about a 24% parasitic power loss between the engine and the rear wheels; it was my understanding that this is reasonable from a heavy duty automatic transmission. Did this particular truck have the auto or the manual?

I would figure out where the torque was going and fix it. It could be the tranny, they have been known to be inefficient in the past, might be a biggie. Going into the engine, the cam specs themselves, which I have only seen on the previous 5.7, but it is a big cam. It has good lift and as wide a duration possible. My major disagreements with the cam design (roller cams are nice), the lift is fine, the duration is about 10 degrees too much on the intake side, which doesn't really improve the rpm range because the lift is so high. Also, the sparkplug area inside the combustion chamber is really messed up. Dual plugs and the flame is directed towards each other, which is good, but there is a blank spot on both sides that is wasted. In fact, there is a way to easily improve the swirl burn pattern that would be good for.....time to find a Hemi and do some testing, thinking efficiency here, looking at a 20percent improvement....and they don't even see it B).
