[FONT=Courier] :( I have a 90 Daytona 2.5 nonturbo that's not getting fire to the coil. I've replaced the computer, the coil, the coil wire, the pick up & so far nothing. It had been running rough then it died one day on the side of the road & it hasn't started since. It's getting fuel just no fire. I figure it's a short somewhere but no luck in finding it so far. Any ideas or info will be appreciated. Also, do you know where I can get an electrical diagram? Thanks, Barron

It turned out to be the negative wire on the coil had a short. Trace yours back and see what you can find. Without that wire you will get no spark to your coil.

If you are getting fuel but no spark, check the Coil Positive for 12 volts with the key in the crank/run position, Does the coil have 12 volts Positive?
If you have 12 volts at the coil and the Hall effect pickup is new, one would assume you should have spark. If you have power at the coil, the Hall effect or negative coil wire is in question then. If you have no 12 volts at the coil, apply 12 volts to the coil positive and see if it starts. If it starts, the problem is in the Ignition wire under the hood, check the fusible link to the coil wire as well as the ASD relay wires. If you have no fuel and spark, check the ASD Relay, as it may appear you have fuel, unless you definately can hear the pump cycle or see fuel.

HEY Everyone. I have a 1989 daytona shelby with no fuel and no spark. I parked it and went to start it and nothing. where is the automatic shutdown relay located at? That is what my code is showing. number 42 from the smec. I am sure i can fix it if i only knew where it was located at. anybody please help. it just died this afternoon and am already missing it lol. thanks.
