If you were a registered user, you would not be seeing this!

hey everyone. I have a 1989 daytona shelby. I have no spark and no fuel. Pulled codes and is showing a 42 which is automatic shutdown relay. My question is where is that located at? I replaced the hall effect sensor thinking it was that before i pulled codes. oh well, could always use a spare! lol any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

You could try this to determine whether the problem is a bad ASD relay or power supply to the relay(fusible link). Make a jumper from the battery positive to the coil positive terminal, this bypasses the ASD relay and will power up the fuel pump and coil, so you should have spark and fuel using this bypass method if the HEP and wiring to it is good.
If it starts and runs, you will then have to check for corroded ASD relay contacts and verify power to the relay. If there is power to the relay and it runs doing the bypass to the coil positve, you might want to swap in another Relay, as the ASD relay may be bad.

The ASD relay should be located under the hood, drivers side, near the Strut tower.

Here is a diagram I found for the relays you were asking about for a 1989 Daytona Shelby
