If you were a registered user, you would not be seeing this!

I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. We have Chrome wheels on our cruiser and they wouldn't keep any air. We looked at them and they cracked and began to leak. Chrylser replaced them all for free but they wrecked our car in the process. They backed into a minivan. THe car was repaired and looks great wheels and all.

Sounds like an isolated incident in manufacturing. I haven't had a problem with mine or the chrome rusting whatsoever, let alone crack. I am glad to hear that they repaired their own damage.

This happened on my wife's Dream Cruiser Series 1, and has happened a number of other DC-1s that I'm aware of. I think the failure rate is very high for those where the roads are salted.

When I was having the wheels replaced, a 2003 GT on the used lot had the same problem.

Thanks for the warning. I have the chrome wheels on my 3003 limited. So far no cracks.

They sure look nice though. I get a lot of compliments on the wheels.
