Hi, Im new here and am happy to find this place.
I have a 92 duster sundance.v6 3.0L,my problem is the following.
The other day i was driving home and the engine would falter when i gave it gas.The problem has gotten much worse, and the car is undriveable.
It starts with diffeculty, wont hold a steady idle, and when in gear falls on its face.
Ive done the following so far.
replaced the air filter.
put new gas in.
added a bottle of high dollar injecter cleaner.
The cap and rrotor look ok.
Any suggestions

 I have a 94 with the 3.0 doing the same thing when hot, no codes present, so i tried a old timer trick when it happened to me. i put a bunch of ice in a zip lock and put it around the distributor, keeping it cool, and it flew like the wind all the way home, 45 miles, so tommarow I will be switching out the pick up coil in the disributor. I will follow up to let ya know if it is why it was failing. thinking about putting a small hole in the side of distributor and connecting it with a winshild wiper water hose to the side of the air box so it keeps the heat vaccumed out the disributor case, hopefully keeping the coil cooler and it lasting longer.
