Caliber Diesel In Us? Rate Topic: -----

If you were a registered user, you would not be seeing this!

I'm a big diesel fan, I have an '03 Ram with the Cummins, love the performance, and, for what it is (7000lb+ truck geared for pulling) mileage is very reasonable, in the low 20's. Just the same, fuel costs are painful, I drive over 500 miles a week, and EVERYTHING costs more for a truck. I'm looking for a more fuel efficient vehicle, and am thinking about either a Caliber, or VW Jetta Diesel. The Jetta's are running 45-50mpg on the highway, hard to beat that. On the other hand, I like the styling, price and made in USA features better on the Caliber. Any rumours of the turbo-diesel coming to the US market?

Thanks.
Bri

But there is alway hope. 2008 diesel jetta 2.0Lcrd is comming.

Uk car keys review on the 2.0Lcrd caliber SXT.
They liked the VW motor. But the rest of the car wasn't to well liked.
UK mileage = Economy: 55.4mpg extra urban, 46.3mpg combined

I feel that - at some point - there will be a diesel Caliber offering. Just not soon enough for some.
