If you were a registered user, you would not be seeing this!

Keep almost all parts of the existing caliber the only change is the roof and the trunk.

Just curious to see what the Caliber look in sedan version.

2003 Dodge Avenger concept car is kinda what I think you're looking for.

The Avenger concept look most like a concept for the Caliber not enough sedan and too much wagon for my request.

Seeing that concept again, makes me think, that the Caliber should have been styled closer to that, granted it is smaller, but the over all look and stance, I think, would have hit home better. Probably would have wanted to more wagon like overall, but still kept the general form.

To me, it's not enough sedan and not enough wagon.

It doesn't fill either bill.

That would make a respectable replacement for the SRT4 Neon.

Or for the Mitsu Evo - which is what that chop is based on.

That's almost what I was afraid of. It looks like an Aussie "Ute".

If the roofline/windowline were brought down, the trunk height raised just a bit over the quarters, and if the rear didn't stick back so high it might work, but I don't feel like going through that right now myself...

this is low quality and quick but of course that is how most of mine are but it gets my thoughts across...and it carries over current sedan styling of Dodge.

If the height of this concept can be about 3" to 4" lower than the Caliber, it has a lot of possibilities.

IMHO, a sedan with the height of the Caliber would pay the same fuel economy penalty as with the Cailber, leaving it at a substantial disadvantage when compared to it's competition.

If they built a car just like the one orange one in the foreign magazine, I would buy it. A nice evolution of the Neon!

I took a stab at a Calibur sedan chop and came up with this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v224/hemiman876/calibur_srt4_sedan.jpg

Notice the Charger-esque fastback roofline, lower stance and larger wheels, and just for the heck of it I made it blue. Could this be your Neon replacement?

looks good - although I would probably get rid of the rear haunch - too much of it will make it seem stale on all models... i think
