How do you fix the throttle/transmission hesitation in 5.7 liter Hemi

If you were a registered user, you would not be seeing this!

For starters, I know that Mercedes also suffer from this annoying throttle/transmission hesiation, but I still find it to be totally unacceptable.

It's as if you hit the gas pedal in a 300C or Charger/Magnum RT and you have to wait a moment before the throttle responds. I can only suppose the engine computer imposes the delay to protect the transmission, but it is utterly annoying. The transmission itself doesnt downshift as quickly as it should, but there again, this is one of the first 5-speed automatics from the early 90s.

Does anyone out there have a way to reprogram the engine computer to remove this really annoying throttle/transmission hesitation?

What about reprogramming transmission shift points and the speed of shifts?

Is there something fundimentally wrong with the 5-speed Mercedes designed transmission?

What about permanently deactivating MDS?

:angry: I have '07 RT w/ 2,400 miles. Car will sometimes hesitate for couple seconds then snap the driveline after I back out and put it in drive. Not all the time, just some of the time. Usually after it has sat for day or so. Not sure if it is hesitation in transmission or throttle. It did it once when I test drove to buy. I thought it was a fluke but it happens often enough to be a nusance. This can't be good for the differential or rest of driveline. Dealer says it needs tranny chip flashed to update but I've read in some other sites that is what they always say. I have appt. to have it checked next week. Never had a car to do this before. If I really wanted to get on it after backing out I would probably leave whole driveline on street. Maybe this is part of reason for lifetime driveline warranty. They don't do things like that out of generosity. I will post again if I find out anything.
