Magnum water leak

If you were a registered user, you would not be seeing this!

Here's one for the Magnum owners and the techs as well.
I own an '06 Magnum SXT and found that I have water entering the spare tire well when driving in rain. No leak seems to appears in the well from sitting in the rain or from a car wash, only shows up when driving.
The leak is coming from the left rear side of the car and I suspect it is from the exhauster vent that is hidden under the interior trim. Car is still under warranty and the dealer has looked into this problem twice so far. We have yet to stop the leak. One thing they did find was debris in the little rubber flaps of the exhauster vent that may have let in water spray from the left rear tire.
To me this is strange engineering by Chrysler, as they have this exhauster vent placed through the sheetmetal behind the left rear wheel. I'll bet almost no LX owner knows this vent is there, and the way this thing works with the rubber flaps, I can see why I may be getting water in the car. And with the louvers in the rear inner wheel house that seem to direct water spray upwards, I think there has to be some instance of the water getting in through that vent. What's with the wheel house louvers anyway?
The water trickles in below the plastic interior trim and below all the floor panels. The dealer also checked out the tail light housings as they had info of possible water leakage there. So far the leak still happens driving in the rain, and I believe the next step is to replace that exhuster vent assembly.
Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Thanks, John in MI
