Grats! I am convinced this is the MOST PRACTICAL car on the road today.

The only thing I would change is make it 1 foot longer, 6 inches wider, and 4 inches taller. ;)

Then it would resemble one of those HHR's.........

Congratulations.... as an "old timer", glad to see that there are still new PT owners out there who are excited about getting one!

Glad you're happy about it. I love mine. Mrs. Bob ain't happy it's a stick, though. As long as I'm driving the car it doesn't matter. Welcome to the forum.

I've had a lot of fast cars over the years but never had as much fun as I am having with my 2006 PT GT (Stage1). Every time I am in it its almost like driving it for the first time. Faster than Heck, great cargo hauler and IMHO a great looking car.

What color? My 2002 5spd was Almond Pearl and we called it "Bullwinkle"....looked like the cartoon character coming at you head-on! I got to drive it a couple of laps on the track at Daytona Speedway with a local PT Cruiser club there. Probably the best overall vehicle I've owned in 57 years!

Now it's my turn!!!! Today I picked up my long-awaited 2008 PT Cruiser Convertible at Crowley's in Bristol. Even had the top down - just in the dealer's lot, though. Took her home, put her to bed in the garage and tonight it's homework time: reading the owner's manual, starting with the correct break-in procedures. I want to take good care of this new addition to our family, and hope for a long and trouble free association.

Regarding exchanging greetings with fellow PT owners, we did exchange waves with another PT convertible owner who roughly paralleled us on Route 10 in heavy traffic today.

Thanks for the welcome, David - can't wait  for tonights storm. Thankfully I have something else (AWD) to get to work in at 6am and don't have to break-in a new car through it. - WDS

I'll be using the PT in the snow today. So far there looks to be only 5 inches of snow down.

I did replace the OEM Goodyear tires with some better traction Michelins. See the Tire posts elsewhere here for more comments on the OEM tires.
