1997 chrysler sebring convertable will not turn over or anything Rate Topic: -----

help i have a 1997 sebring convertible about a month ago went out to start and it wouldn't turn over or click or anything figured it was a dead battery got neighbor to jump start car it started right up happened again about a week later ( it had ran fine the whole week} it happened again same fix jumped it and it started now went to start it again and nothing tried to jump it and nothing have had battery checked it is fine have replaced starter have checked wire from battery to starter no breaks am not sure what else to do this is my only car and i cant afford to buy another so i need to fix this.

I would check the battery - it could have failed (ie; not holding a charge). When was the current battery installed in the car?

If the battery checks OK, it could be the alternator that isn't charging the battery properly.

You don't mention what engine you have - if it's the V6, the problem could be in the distributor.

i just put a brand new battery in the car 2 weeks ago and ive had the alternator checked its fine i have the v6 engine were checking the distributor today thanks for the tip any other ideas would be greatly appreciated thank you

What is the current situation? Does is turn over, click only, doesn't turn over. If you did have a bad
starter it may have popped #8 fuse under the hood (ign..).
