Tire pressures

Hi all.
In the interest of more stability while towing I've decided to upgrade from the Goodyear standard load (114) tire to an XL tire (119). The standard tire was rated for 2601lb and the new tire for 2998lb. I've read where people believe that the PSI should be increased by the same % as payload capacity has increased. For clarity, this is for every day driving as I always air up for towing. I'm aiming for the most I can get in tire longevity (aren't we all?).

Be careful of tire pressures. Don't tow and run too close to the maximum pressure on the sidewall. The tires will likely get hotter if towing, so allow for pressure increases after driving awhile.
