    From allpar news

    Where’s the Hemi going?

"Allpar has heard from several sources who agreed that the 5.7 Hemi is slated to leave production next year. Hundreds of thousands of the V8s are being built for storage and sale in the meantime..."

Something new will be coming that will surprise many.

That's all I have to say and I will not confirm or deny any other details at this time.

I've heard from a reliable source that they are developing a new generations of V8's and they won't be smaller displacement...

All I can say and hope is that there will be T.T. V-6's AND various V-8's on the horizon.

They have been struggling to get the HEMI to pass emissions since the beginning. Its logical that it would have to be the first one to go as emissions standard continue to become more and more restrictive. I'm sure I only touched on one of a dozen reasons.

That doesn't mean V8's are dead, nor some of the other design factors of the HEMI that could still be used to produce good performance in another V8 or other engines.
