I was shopping insurance today and found that the new SRT-4 has much lower premiums than the old one and even beats 2 door Civics, EX and Si. Interesting as they should serve the same market but I guess the Neon's rep doesn't help much. I take it regular Calibers are pretty cheap to insure?

Early nSRT-4's had a very high early loss rate. It was an unprecidented speed to cost ratio at the time.

I have a Caliber SE. For me to insure it along with the 94 Spirit and have myself, wife and 18 year old son on the policy both cars only run me $106 per month. Keep in mind that I'm 52, the wife will be 49 next month and all of us have clean MVR's.

It's a shame ALF decided to cancel the Caliber SRT4. It's a fun car to drive at the same time
haul a lot of groceries in the hatchback.
