Hi All, I have a 2001 PT Cruiser 2.4 Non Turbo that runs and drives great. The car will however decide not to start (Cranks like a champ) at random intervals. No codes are ever present, nothing shows up at time of the no start either. The problem progressed slowly starting a couple months ago requiring a couple cycles of the ignition to start the vehicle. Now it can take 3-4 cycles of the ignition before the vehicle will start and when it starts it fires up instantly and runs perfectly. The Crank sensor was replaced in hopes of solving the problem but it made no difference.

Anyone else encounter this problem and have an idea of what was done to correct it?

Thanks!

The best way would be to catch it in the act with a scan tool plugged in. Determine if spark and/or fuel is missing. It may not set a fault code.
