I highly, highly doubt the announcement of a Hemi 8-speed until Chrysler can build them at their own factory.

I even more highly doubt that the not-Hornet will be called Neon. We will find out. Current rumor has Dart and Duster in the lead but Camber... why would anyone waste money trademarking Camber? Unless they mean to use it OR it's a submodel name, e.g. Fiat 500 Camber.

I'd also like to see an entry level Hemi Charger ;)

The memo actually said "Camper" (a new Ram package, obviously), but the handwriting was less than clear.

The trademark staffer who failed to catch this has subsequently been demoted to crash test dummy.

I'm personally hoping its another typical-Sergio statement and the name is Hornet.

Something about the Grand Wagoneer would be nice.  A twin turbo Pentastar in a Ram would be an interesting comparison to Ford.  How about a Fiat 500 with a Hemi?

That made me chuckle.  Well, they do put Hemis in PT Cruisers.  I suppose however, that the 500 makes the PT look like a Ford Excursion.

I need to replace my Patriot for work soon, and I'd like to see something new that is just as practical, but with a little more power to the wheels, better fuel economy, and above all else, better build quality!  I don't care if it wears a Chrysler, Jeep, or Dodge badge.  The Dodge "Hornet" will be too small, however the next Liberty might be a good candidate.  Or, I could just break down and get the Grand Cherokee I've been wanting for a year, but it would have to sit outside because my garage is not quite large enough to hold a Ram and a GC. :(  Sometimes I think I'm just over thinking this purchase -- it's never taken me this long to decide on a vehicle before.  I've even found myself considering the Ford Escape and Subaru Forester.

I'd also love to see a Durango SRT8 at NAIAS, and maybe a Jeep Gladiator or some other Wrangler-based truck, but neither would be very practical for me so that is just my "enthusiast" side talking!

At the top of my list of cars I am wanting to see in person is the Cadillac ATS.
Since I'm done holding my breath for any decent diesel onslaught.

I'd like to see a concept of a future Chrysler production car that is made to compete with the euro luxury barges like the Mercedes s550, Audi a8 BMW 7 series and Lexus ls, but at a much cheaper price point like The Hyundai Equus is doing.  (think reimagined Chrysler imperial)

Would also like to see a concept for a 2-4 seater gt car (possibly on the challengers platform) or the maserati grandsport platform) with a convertible option with a nice 6.4L or maybe a v10 or small v12 with cylinder shutoff.

Would also like to see the Dodge Demon concept revived for a closer to production model.

Probably won't happen maybe not yet anyways but that's what I'd want to see.

Has anyone mentioned the possibility that Chrysler is out of the concept car business, for the foreseeable future?
They don't have the time or the money and sneak previews are not the Marchionne Way.
If there is something new at the show, it will be for immenient sale.

I did.. :D :P
For now, I get it, the company is stretched paper thin trying to get product developed.  I would love to see a concept, but I know it's extremely doubtful.  My personal hope is as the massive product turnover nears, and they get closer to rounding up the new staff, he will open the door for people to have some free time and test out some work on the market.  And that's where the real value in concepts are, to see how the public really feels about it.

Given that Chrysler will not be moved upscale, the vehicle you imagine will be badged Alfa.

A SWB Caravan and a Caliber replacement (or Caliber remodel).

Alfa just did the 4C concept, with production not scheduled to start until 2013, so I think Marchionne approves of such things.

However, as others have said, there has not been time, nor cash, for many concepts (but we may see some surprises).

Possibly, but Maserati is positioned higher than Alfa in terms of luxury and craftsmanship.

Alfa is targeted as focused on advanced technology, performance and design with an active driving experience.....much like BMW.

Chrysler and Buick will be going head to head.  Maybe Lincoln too, if Ford can give it some direction.  Lexus and Infiniti like to pretend they are more upscale but I would also put them in the same class.
