An intriguing post in the Allpar forums may explain Chrysler's odd trademarking of the name "Camber" for use in cars, which inspired negative reactions from Allpar readers (who thought the car-once-thought-to-be-the-Dodge-Hornet would instead be named Dodge Camber). Did this actually get printed in a magazine or was it just a blog comment? Article doesn't say who was making this report.

It's a comment from an Allpar viewer. No word on accuracy. Handwriting is an interesting thought in this day and age.

I remember the post, but what I was wondering, did some organization outside the forum get ahold of the post and put it out in "what" news organization, or just a blog?

Camber is a terrible choice, I think we all agree on that. The other subject is how much influence these sites, twitter, facebook, and more are having on the industry. It is really amazing, the people may finally be getting a voice, let's hope it is done right.

I always liked Duster for a car name if it has some oomph under the hood. I used to own a '73 Gold Duster back in the day.... I hate the name of Camber for a car.

The car magazines and reviews already laughed at the Caliber name (and the car as a replacement for the Neon?), imagine what they will do to it if the new car comes out as a Dodge Camber?  OMG!

Are you sure GTX wasn't just doing a gentle ribbing of all the name-related "discussion" going on?
