Hey I want to go aorund and replace ALL of my bulbs with LEDs.

I am also going to replace my flasher with those solid state ones that are LED friendly.

Does anyone have (off of memory or on hand) a list of what numbers all the external lights are?

turn signals in front

brake/turn signals in rear

clearance lights on the sides of the body in the front and rear

opera lights?

Another question is that I see 2 or 3 different STYLE of LED bulbs. will they always fit into the housings??

like this
http://www.ebay.com/...=item336f6683e4

versus this
http://www.ebay.com/...=item2c61ae363a

versus this
http://www.ebay.com/...=item1e66ed4268

any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Going from memory, the rear tails should be 1157 and the front turn signals 1157NA.  The side markers are probably 198 or something similar.  I've never had an opera lamp bulb quit working so I never replaced one.

I'll see if I can verify these numbers alter.

As far as the socket is concerened, all of them will fit. Concerns would be about how does each work with YOUR reflector and will the leds touch your reflector before the lamp is able to be pushed in far enough to twist into the locking position. Some reflectors have a very narrow access that could be a problem.
I show a standard 1157 for the stop/tail light and an Amber 1157 for the turn/parking light. The cornering light would be an 1156 and the markers a 168.

Thank you both for such timely responses!!!

I'd like to think that they just took the dimensions of the actual bulb, and made the LED's fit INSIDE the same contour-shape.

I'm afraid I will end up with ones that are so wide I can't slide them in from the back as intended, but rather they are made to be inserted from the front.

Or as you said they could be too long and hit the reflector

Image #3 seems to be able to fit within the confines except for overall length being longer. None of the three posted images  seem to use the reflector very well.

The ones in image #1 use the reflector much better than the one in image #2.  If one in image #3 will fit, then it may be better.

Keep in mind that the junky LED replacement bulbs are way too dim.  So the brighter the better, and it needs to emit light at all angles, not just forward.  Also, for the tail lamps, you want red LEDs.  And for the amber lamps, you want amber LEDs.  Do not get white ones in either case and put them behind a colored lens.  White LEDs aren't as bright behind colored lenses as the actual correct colored LEDs are.

From personal experience, I have red ones similar to image #1 in both my Charger and my '69 truck.  They work well and have a decent light spread from the reflector.  A friend of mine tried ones similar to image #2 and they were terrible -- just a small circle of light in the middle of the tail light lens.

Also be careful.  That first auction you posted has a Buy It Now price if $51!  You should be able to find a better price than that.  I also suggest sellers from the USA.

Here is a good guide to answer some questions:  http://www.v-leds.co...e/ledGuide.html

I've bought stuff from v-leds before when they had an eBay store.  But they closed the eBay store earlier this year for some reason.  And now their prices are high on their own eCommerce site.

Thanks so much for the help.

but what's a cornering light?

I have 2 rear lights, 2 front signal, 4 clearance lights around the car (2 red, 2 amber).... so..... I can't think of another double filament bulb known as a "cornering light"

Cornering lights were available on some models and they came on with the turn signal and were a single light that helped illuminate to the side that you were turning toward. Not that common but your year has a listing under Chrysler and it looks like they were standard on the Imperial.

Cornering lamps weren't offered on the Cordoba until 1978.
