Canada has long been a source of good sales news for Chrysler fans, and 2011 continued the trend. While sales did not increase substantially, they also did not fall nearly as much in 2010 as they did in the U.S. As with every month in 2011, Chrysler Canada reported a gain over 2010 for December, a 2% increase -- the 25th month of growth. The top sellers were the Ram (up 22%), Grand Caravan (down 24%), Dodge Journey (up 3%), Jeep Grand Cherokee (down 5%), and Jeep Wrangler (up 47%). For 2011, Chrysler Canada sales were 230,992 -- 13% over 2010. While Chrysler is strong in Canada, the market is much smaller than in the more populous United States, where Chrysler logged 1.4 million sales.

IIRC the Grand Cherokee sold very, very well here since it was changed.

No diesel option.

That ignores the fact that the no-diesel option was 5% better last month...
Was it model availability? Pricing? Weather? A one month fluke?

As for the diesel, it's coming soon.
