Automotive News is reporting Fiat SpA is planning to build two cars based on the new Dodge Dart in partnership with Guangzhou Automobile Company at the Guangzhou plant in Hunan Province. The cars would be exported to Europe, badged as Fiats. The first would be a sedan with Fiat styling. The second would be a hatchback to replace the long-running Bravo, which is due to end production next year. Fiat's Cassino plant, which currently builds the Bravo, would switch over to a new crossover to compete with the Nissan Qashqai.

seen how the Journey became the Freemont, I really don't expect the Dart to change much more than this when becoming a Fiat. (though I am sure the rear will change more)...

Maybe, BUT, the 'rebadges' were done a bit more on the fly.  If they were able to implement some of the changes during design of the dart, they might be able to offer more differentiation.
Another thought was rumor of a Dart hatch.  Perhaps over the course of developing said vehicle for other markets, they could subsudize development of a hatch in that manner, leaving a reduced expense (for certification and what not).  Question will remain, of course, is there a business case.    Perhaps that would hinge on reception of the Dart.

This new car could replace the Linea here in Brazil, because it's bigger and more refined.

Thought about it, but why spoil it? I'm sure it'll be remembered as one of those "defects" which turn beautiful into drop-dead gorgeous, like Cindy Crawford's mole...
