Caravelle 2.2 Turbo I into Turismo Duster?

Have any of you tried to order your Turismo Duster with the 2.2 Turbo I engine that was intended for use in the Caravelle? That way, you could get around Carroll Shelby?

The Turismo was never certified by the EPA with a turbo engine. Chrysler could not have sold one if they wanted to unless they sent it through certification which would be unfeasible for a single car order.
