My 01 Dodge Ram 1500 Conv van, 318 motor w/ 32k miles. Door locks stopped working, replaced fuse and batterys in remote worked temporally then made humming noise in driver side door now they don't work but will lock unexpectedly. must unlock manually. Where should I go from here? Thanks in advance for your advice.

I'd check where the wiring goes through into the door. Sounds like you have a short, which would also explain why you had a fuse problem.
