E-Mail and Contacting the Webmaster
"Please do not ask difficult questions, because it's not nice to embarass the Webmaster."
My name is David Zatz, and I am an organizational consultant and part-time Allpar site maintainer. You can read about my work at Toolpack.
I am not associated with Chrysler in any way (except as an owner) and never have been. My past cars were usually Mopars from the 1970s, though I did try two GMs, a Toyota Corolla, and a VW Rabbit and gained much respect for Toyota and some for a past version of Volkswagen. I can't solve your problems, but I can give a few pointers.
Anything I know is probably already somewhere on the Web site, and I urge you to look for it if you were going to ask me a repair or dealer relationship question. Click here to return to the main page. (If you have one of many front-wheel-drive cars based on the K platform, you can also post questions to the "EEK" list).
Before I go on - if you are contributing an article, please send it to
and put Pathmark into the subject line to get past the spam filter. (Due to the high volume of spam I have had to remove direct mail links!) These are the requirements:
- I cannot accept previously copyrighted material without permission of the copyright holder.
- This includes photography and Chrysler advertising.
- Please do not send huge image files. Most images on this site are well under 50K in size. That's because (a) it's a large site with finite financial resources, and (b) most people don't have ISDN lines, and it takes a long time to download large pictures! When you send a file, please try to downsize it to 72 dpi, and make it JPG or compressed TIFF if possible. If you don't know how to do that, at least try to crop it (or select only the "useful," i.e. car-related, sections of the picture). Please never send me a photo over 500K! (For that matter, unless you really are unfamiliar with scanning and photo editing, please do not send me a photo over 120K!). Thank you.
- I can clean up your language, so don't worry too much about that. I can deal with most word processing formats. Since I use a Mac and have a Windows machine for odds and ends, I can deal with both Macintosh and Windows file formats.
- I welcome mail telling me I'm wrong...
If you are not writing to me with new material...
While I appreciate your feedback, I have a two kids, a business, and not much time to read my mail. So, please do not send me mail asking me to...
- Tell the value of your car - I don't know it. Try Edmund's or Kelly's or both.
- Locate parts for you - my resources are in the Web site already. Click here for parts, click here for other resources.
- Sell your car or locate a buyer for you unless you think I will be interested in it. I have a classifieds service for that.
- Deal with Chrysler. I have no pull with them. All the information I have is already in the site under resolving problems.
- Help with a technical issue - I already have many pages for helping with technical problems
To be more positive:
- Please write down your e-mail address in the message, because many get mangled in the mail.
- I can never get enough positive feedback (though you can send it through the guest book as well).
- I usually would like to exchange links with you. However the way to do this is to go to www.allpar.com/links/ and submit it there. Unless you're selling Amway products.
I appreciate your understanding.
By the way, I really really really mean it when I say there are better technical resources than me. I am not an expert on cars of any kind. That's why we have Allpar Forums.
Once again - if you need parts, click here. If you need an owner's manual, see this page.
If it helps, rather than going back to the main page, you can go straight to the help section.
