The Chelsea Proving Grounds! A fairly detailed look at the Proving Grounds from 1953 to the present day, conveniently on one big page. We hope to have more personal recollections of the Proving Grounds in the upcoming months.

The A-series v8 engines - take the expensive but powerful little Hemi V8s of the 1950s, and prep 'em for use in Plymouths at much higher volumes and lower cost, and you get the A-series V8s. They survive today, in a way -- the LA V8 family was derived from the A family, and the Viper uses an LA-based V10. The A-engines didn't last all that long (in terms of production) but the LA certainly did, surviving in to the 21st century in V8 and V10 form.

At Valiant.org, we have carpet and seat replacement...

And by now you've heard that Ram is being treated as a separate brand - no word yet on whether it'll still be Dodge Ram, or just plain Ram - and the heads of Dodge and Chrysler have both been replaced. It looks as though we're going to be burning through executives for a while yet. The head of Ram is Fred Diaz, and the head of Chrysler is now Fiat/Lancia's Olivier Francois, who will do double duty running Chrysler and Lancia -- that can't be easy. Details.
Next week, we’ll have lots of photos from yesterday’s show. If you were there, it was good to see you — otherwise, hope to see you next year ... at one of the three planned meets!
