The 1990-1993 Fifth Avenue was a latecomer to the EEK (Extended K Car) lineup; the most luxurious of the K's. They're not terribly well represented on the web, so this is my attempt to rectify that.
The Fifth's sister, the Imperial, will also be covered here as the cars were very similar.

Where They Came From
The history of the last Fifth Avenue model marketed by Chrysler Corporation is rooted in the 1988 redesign of the New Yorker model. This model represented a larger New Yorker than it's more direct K car descendent, especially in trunk area. It also provided a higher level of luxury, with a smoother, quieter ride.
The platform was stretched in 1990 to create the New Yorker Fifth Avenue and the Imperial. Much of the interior stayed the same; only minor changes in the door panels and, in the Imperial, a gentle update of the dashboard betrayed the difference. Well, that and the huge back seat area, which is where most of the 'stretch' occured. A facelift in 1992 brought smoother lines and additonal features to the Belvidere, IL built luxo cruiser, and carried the elegant Fifth through the end of its run.
