After having spent a few hundred miles in an '93 Accord (my mom's), I found it had some of nice features... but handling and power were about the same as my Shadow. And the Accord lacked the fun to drive feeling that my Shadow has... So despite my Shadow 6 years older and having a 100K _more_ miles, it was the hands down winner between the two cars! I was suprised, I thought a year old mid-level Accord would easily be superior to a 7 year old base-level Shadow... just wasn't the case...
Oh, and as far as reliability goes, my Shadow has never ever left me stranded and has only had a few minor repairs. I was dissappointed that the clutch wore out in only 125K miles... But oh well, I guess 125K miles per clutch isn't too bad...
Duster in Competition

I own a '93 Plymouth Duster 3.0, 2dr, 5spd, which I have done a few performance modifications too. If possible I would like you to put my e-mail address on your web page to exchange info with other website visitors. Last year at New England Dragway in Eping NH, My duster went a 15.3 @ 89mph, on cooper cobra street tires!!!! I recently completed some additional mods and expect to go mid 14's this year.ps The car in the other lane was a 1995 firebird formula V8 automatic, which went a 15.8 at 96mph, Duster won by 3-4 cars. It's my favorite video.
Durability

I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth to the praise of the 2.2 liter engine. I have owned my 90 Dodge Shadow since new and it now has 173,000+ miles. I change the oil and other fluids regularly, and although I drive the car hard, I have had only minor problems with it. But the amazing thing is that I just replaced the timing belt for the first time! The timing had never been adjusted previously, and the timing belt cover had not even been removed before. All of the gaskets and seals were original, along with most everything else. This engine it will go before it needs a rebuild, if I live that long.
Final note
The Webmaster wrote a letter to Chrysler asking for more info but it seems to have been lost...I have since been told that they discarded all of their Sundance and Shadow information...truth or fiction? You decide!
