’14 Cherokee changed after spy shots

by David Zatz on

cher-mod

After Jalopnik posting photos of the Jeep Liberty replacement, an anonymous but trusted source wrote to tell Allpar that, as Chrysler’s twitter feed said, the cars we will see in April at the New York Auto Show will not look exactly like the ones leaked today.

While we do not expect them to go “whole hog” on the appearance, as reader dodgeman1001 did in the comfort of a photo editor, we were told by the source that the photos seen this morning were taken some time ago. They were “very early” iterations, which were modified following reactions by observers within Chrysler and long-lead journalists.

David Zatz founded Allpar in 1998 (based on a site he had begun in 1993-94), after years of writing reviews for retail trades. He has been quoted by the New York Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Detroit News, and USA Today. Before making Allpar a full-time career, he was a consultant in organizational psychology.
