SM given $47 million in stock

Sergio Marchionne small 2011Sergio Marchionne was recently awarded with 4,666,666 shares of Fiat stock, according to the company, in accordance with a vote at the shareholders’ meeting on April 4, 2012.  The shares are currently worth around $10 each, making the grant worth around $47 million.

Mr. Marchionne sold around 1.3 million of the shares to cover his tax liabilities, for a total of $13,094,400.
