FCA Canada was the only domestic manufacturer to win three 2016 Canadian Black Book (CBB) “Best Retained Value Awards,” with 20 categories in play. The award is given to vehicles that kept the largest proportion of their original list price since 2012.
The Jeep Wrangler took the top Compact SUV spot for the sixth year in a row, while the Dodge Challenger won out as a sports car for the fifth year, and the Dodge Charger was top in the full-size car class.
The Charger is, according to Brad Rome, President, Canadian Black Book, “the first-ever domestic vehicle to win in our mainstream car categories.” The awards have been given out for eleven years.
The Dodge Durango and Ram Cargo Van were runner-ups.
