The 2017 Fiat 124 Spider will start at $25,990 with destination in the US, with a 1.4 liter turbocharged four-cylinder that delivers 160 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque (165 hp in Abarth form). With the manual it is rated at 26 mpg city, 35 highway; the automatic garners an extra 1 mpg on the highway but takes it away in the city.

The base Classica includes a dual-tip exhaust, black roll bar finish, and body-color header, side sills and door handles, with 16-inch wheels, black cloth seats, and LED tail lamps.  It comes in red, white, black metallic, gray metallic,  dark gray metallic, and bronze metallic. The automatic adds $1,350.

The Lusso (luxury) adds 17-inch wheels, silver-painted A-pillar header, and roll-bar cover. The interior has heated black or Saddle leather seats and accents are done in glossy black. An extra color is crystal white pearl; it costs $2,500 more.

The Fiat 124 Spider Abarth adds five horsepower, Bilstein sport suspension, mechanical limited-slip differential, front strut tower bar, Sport Mode selector, and quad-tip exhaust; other effects are a different front and rear fascia, wheels, accents, and optional stripe, Brembo brakes, and Recaro seats. Colors are white, red, black metallic, gray metallic, and crystal white pearl. This one will set buyers back $29,190 including destination; the automatic adds $1,350.

A limited edition Prima Edizione Lusso has numbered badges, with exclusive blue paint and saddle leather seats; various accessories are thrown in. This starts at $35,995.
