Pacifica hybrid makes Ward’s best

by David Zatz on

Ward’s top engines list was well spread out across automakers this year, with none taking more than a single award. BMW, Ford, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Mazda, Mercedes, and Volvo were all chosen — for a single engine each.

Fiat Chrysler’s award was for the Pacifica hybrid system, which combines a Pentastar V6 with twin electric motors to form a plug-in hybrid. The company is rumored to be unveiling a fully electric Pacifica at the CES show.
