FCA’s high school design contest

by David Zatz on

One week remains for high school students to send sketches in to the FCA US ‘’Drive for Design’’ contest, open to all U.S. students in grades 10-12. The goal is to design a 2047 Dodge; the deadline is April 28.

Now in its fifth year, the contest is judged by the FCA design team, EyesOn Design, and Lawrence Technological University; the latter has a $50,000 scholarship and two-week summer automotive design course for winners.

Awards will be given out on June 16, in an event which kicks off the annual EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition. Prizes include, in addition to the first place scholarship, passes to the EyesOn Design event, travel to Michigan for the event, and a MacBook Pro.

Second and third places are the two-week auto design course at Lawrence, passes to the EyesOn Design event, the associated stay in Michigan, and an iPad (presumably a Pro) and Apple Pencil.
