Three FCA vehicles won top honors at the seventh annual New England Motor Press Association ( NEMPA ) winter-vehicle competition.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee was given the top honors as “Official Winter Vehicle of New England,” as it has “several times” in the past five years.  There were three best-in-class awards, for the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk (“compact affordable SUV/crossover”), Chrysler Pacifica (“minivan/people mover”), and Dodge Charger (“affordable all-wheel-drive sedan”).

FCA’s showing was impressive, since there aren’t many classes in the “Winter Vehicle of New England” awards. There are eleven other vehicle classes (not including three for convertibles), and separate awards for value, technology, and design/elegance.  The only other company to win three classes (including one tie) was Hyundai-Kia; and FCA not only won three classes but garnered the overall best winter vehicle trophy.

The Pacifica was the first minivan/people mover to win its category without all wheel drive.  Full list of award winners .
