Chrysler shuffles managers again
Kim Harris Jones was promoted from Vice President and Chief Controller to Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller and Auditor; she was recently named to the list of “25 Women to Watch” by CFO Magazine, was the “African American Executive of the Year” (according to On Wheels, Inc.), and was on the Automotive News list of 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry in 2005. She joined Chrysler Corporation in 1992. Kim Harris Jones will oversee the consolidation of the Corporate Controller’s office and Audit operations, as well as being responsible for corporate financial activities, including business planning, short and medium range financial forecasting, and audit functions.
Laurie Macaddino was moved from Vice President –- Corporate Audit and Compliance to Vice President –- Finance Operations. Macaddino, who joined Chrysler in 1986, will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles meet financial requirements, and will oversee the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Research and Development budgets.
Steven Bell, who joined Chrysler in 1988, was appointed Director –- Corporate Audit and Compliance, and is responsible for managing day-to-day internal and external audit functions, including financial, operational, and process audits, dealer and supplier audits, business ethics, compliance operations and fraud and forensic investigations.
Lisa Wicker will be named Director of Corporate Diversity, replacing Monica Emerson, Executive Director of Corporate Diversity Office on her retirement after 33 years. Emerson has received several honors including the Leadership in Diversity Award by the Career Communication Group, and was named to Savoy Professional Magazine’s “Top 100 Blacks in Corporate America.”
Wicker will be responsible for corporate diversity strategies including cultural change how the Company leverages diversity. In addition, she will be responsible for Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) Compliance and Governance and Work/Life Policies and Programs. Wicker, who joined DaimlerChrysler in 2001, was moved to this position from being Senior Manager –- Manufacturing Group HR, Stamping and Components.
