Canada might consider aid for automakers
The Canadian government is considering financial aid to the Canadian operations of the Detroit automakers. An appeal for support was contained in a letter from the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association, which represents General Motors, Ford and Chrysler in Canada.
