Canada to announce auto aid tomorrow

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty will announce details of a aid package for its domestic auto industry tomorrow. While a spokesman declined to comment on specifics, the package could amount to several billion dollars from the governments of Canada and Ontario. In past comments, the national and provincial governments have indicated aid would be proportional to the size of an automaker’s operations in Canada.
