All automakers lose in November U.S. sales

While some automakers have not reported in yet, all the others have declared losses in U.S. sales (November 2008 vs November 2007):
- BMW: down 27%
- Chrysler: down 47%
- Ford: down 33% (including Volvo, down 47%)
- GM: down 41%
- Honda: down 32%
- Isuzu: down 74% (from 496 to 130 units)
- Mazda: down 31%
- Mercedes: down 30%
- Mitsubishi: down 36%
- Nissan: down 42%
- Porsche: down 48%
- Subaru: down 4%
- Suzuki: down 46%
- Toyota: down 34%
- Volkswagen: down 19%
GM has beaten Toyota in November U.S. sales, with 153,404 units vs Toyota’s 130,307. Ford was a close #3 with 122,723 vehicles, including Volvo’s 4,404 sales. Chrysler was far behind in the #4 position, still ahead of Honda with 85,260 vehicles sold vs. Honda’s 76,233.
Year to date, the story for the imports is far brighter, but most automakers still posted negative numbers.

- Mazda: down 9%
- Mercedes: up 1%
- Mitsubishi: down 25%

- Suzuki: down 14%
- Toyota: down 13%
- Volkswagen: down 2%
