Mopar’s Simon Boag leaves; Garberding rises
Hot on the heels of supply-chain chief John Campi, Canadian native Simon Boag is leaving his position as head of Mopar and global parts and service. Before being moved to that position, Boag had been co-chair of the ENVI unit and had been in charge of purchasing. At the age of 43, Boag said he left for personal reasons. He had joined Chrysler in 1982 as a vehicle financial analyst, moved up through the ranks, was in charge of assembly and stamping operations, and was rotated to Mercedes for 15 months as head of production planning.
Earlier today, Chrysler announced that Scott R. Garberding had been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer, reporting to Tom LaSorda.
