Daimler still wants to sell Chrysler share

A spokesman for Daimler AG said the German automaker is still looking to unload its 19.1 percent share of Chrysler. He did not specify any company with which Daimler has been talking or would like to talk.

Daimler had been in discussions with Cerberus Capital Management, owner of the majority of Chrysler LLC but those talks have been derailed by disagreements between the two firms.

The Daimler spokesman also had no comment on the alliance between Chrysler and Fiat other than to say the company would “welcome any initiative that serves to stabilize the situation at Chrysler and preserve jobs at the company.”
