Reports of Crane Cams demise were premature

Numerous auto blogs, including Autoblog and AutoWeek, reported the demise of Crane Cams, based on a Daytona Beach News-Journal article. Allpar reported on the same story, but noted that nothing was definitely known and was far less certain in its language about the fate of the well-known valvegear maker.

AutoWeek was contacted for a correction by the company’s Steve Leva, who said that while Crane Cams shut down on February 24 for restructuring, the company planned to reopen sometime in March or April. (Thanks, Mike LaLouette)
