Fiat Stilo in Detroit
Intrepid driver John S. discovered this Fiat Stilo (we believe) riding around in Detroit with manufacturers’ plates. The Stilo is a C-class car, similar in size to the Jeep Compass / Dodge Caliber, and the likely replacement to those vehicles if Chrysler keeps its current assembly plants and enters a deal with Fiat and gets the requisite government loans.
The Fiat Stilo is an interesting choice for importation, because it was not well received in Europe, and was dropped in 2007. It has been replaced by the new generation Fiat Bravo, which makes it all the more likely that the car seen was a test mule.
