Chrysler sale delayed
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg has granted the request of the Indiana pension funds and delayed the sale of Chrysler’s assets to a new company headed by Fiat CEO Sergio Marchionne.
In an order issued this afternoon, Justice Ginsberg said the sale is “stayed pending further order of the court.” However, the stay may be only temporary to allow time for the justices to consider whether to accept the case. Five members of the court must agree to accept the case in order for it to be heard.
