“Project Typhoon” to premier at NY Film Festival in Los Angeles
It has one spark plug, needs no oil changes, runs on renewable fuels, uses no antifreeze and has zero emissions. Is it the car of tomorrow? No, it’s the 1963 Chrysler Turbine Car, a dream from yesterday.
Now the world’s best-known turbine car is the subject of a movie. Project Typhoon is a 48-minute documentary of the Chrysler Turbine car. The film was produced and directed by Larry Cole of Portland, Oregon, the founder of Magnum Productions LLC and ACME-TV Movie Classic DVDs, and ACME-TV.com. The film delves into the background of the Chrysler turbine powered car, its development and initial release to the public, and raises the question of why it isn’t available today.
Project Typhoon will have its world premiere presentation at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival in Los Angeles, California on August 3, 2009. The film will be shown at the Regency Fairfax Cinema located at 7907 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90048.
Tickets for the premier can be purchased by calling the Regency Fairfax Cinema at (323) 655-4010, or online at the New York Independent Film & Video website.
