Dodge Sprinter to be replaced by Mercedes
Mercedes will be pulling the Sprinter from Dodge dealerships into Mercedes dealerships as of January 1, according to Automotive News. The Sprinter, which will be re-launched with a different diesel engine (the one used in Mercedes SUVs), is assembled in South Carolina from knockdown kits. It has been a moderately slow seller, with a peak of 21,961 Dodge sales, and now faces competition from the Ford Transit, a European-design commercial van.
