Chrysler’s sales rise in Mexico
Chrysler de Mexico sales rose 9% last month when compared with December 2008, and jumped 39% when compared with the month before. The company sold 10,313 units last month versus 9,459 units a year ago. Compared with December 2008, Chrysler brand rose 21%, Dodge 6%, and Jeep 19%.
Sales of the Dodge Journey reached a new monthly record at 2,120 units while sales of the Ram pickups remained strong at 855 units.
Nameplates which set monthly sales records in Mexico in December were the “Attitude by Dodge,” Chrysler Town & Country, Jeep Patriot, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Liberty, Jeep Commander, Ram Dakota, and Ram 4000.
